Life at Med School
the life of a torn bubble trying to stay afloat

Thursday, March 24, 2005

Well...I guess I'm officially done with med school! Now all I need is the humongous diploma. It's a rather large piece of paper. I'm not sure if I should order the frame I like or get it custom framed or not at all. For once, my favorite is the cheapest. The more expensive ones were a bit overdone.

now time for the ceremonial dumping of the school supplies!

Today is the last day of my last rotation in medical school. I can't believe 4 years have come and gone. It seems to have gone by fast but there certainly were days that seemed to last forever...like the surgery rotation! Time for breakfast!

Last night was Amber's Mehndi Party. It's basically an Indian Bridal Shower. Amber had henna put all over her hands and feet and it was incredibly small and detailed. The rest of us had amateur henna decorations put on our hands, feet, arms, or legs. I have a small star looking one on my ankle. Tonight is the Polterabend, a german tradition (AMber's other ethnicity) where porcelain is smashed to bring good luck to the new couple. I guess I need to go to tuesday morning to find something to smash seeing as all my dishes are break resistant. Mom wanted to make sure my dishes didn't break. Yikes! Time to get to work!
