Oh boy am I stuffed! Jess and Christina surprised me today and took me out to dinner and dessert. We had plans for a whole bunch of us to go out tomorrow but they thought we should go out tonight too. So we went to PF Chang's because none of us had been there and wanted to try it out. Then we had marble slab ice cream and now my entire GI tract is filled with food. Okay, maybe just my stomach but I fear that if I lie down or bend over, food will come spilling out -that's how stuffed I am! It's been a good day. I don't feel 27 but perhaps it's not til 30 that you feel old and decrepit.

Yahoo! Happy Birthday!

Check this out. yeah, I really needed to know about all the people who were killed/died on my birthday. I guess my bday has been a sad day for years and years...until I was born...right dad?

Tomorrow night I'm going out to dinner with my friends so today I'm going shopping. Not sure what I'm going to buy but maybe it will jump out in front of me.

In other news, I learned what the 'warning light' "O/D off" means. I was driving home happily thinking of my shopping trip and then I notice this light on the dashboard. Now, I know those lights usually indicate disaster and my happiness became sorrow and bitterness with the thought "Geez! It couldn't wait until after my birthday to come on?" So I tried to look it up in my little owner's manual but I couldn't find it. Then I began guessing things like "Oil D---- off" or "odometer detector off." All the while I'm driving home hoping my car doesn't explode into a million pieces. So I get home safely and take a look at the book from the first page until I see the little display of the dash and the order that the warning lights appear on the engine temp dial. Overdrive Off. Not only do I feel completely stupid but to add to my stupidity, it is only now that I realized my car had such a function and that apparently I've had it on all this time and must have accidentally hit the button at some point. Perhaps this is the reminder I needed to get the annual servicing for my car. I had it checked last in june or maybe after my family rotation since I had to get the rotors shaved (whatever that means). I'm glad I have a mechanic that does great work and is fast. I'll make an appointment for monday. Now it's shopping time!

Today is my last day being 26. Tomorrow I will no longer be in my mid 20s but will qualify for the title "Late 20s." Crap I'm getting old! Technically, I won't be 27 until 8:35am Hawaiian Standard Time which is 1:35 pm here. Hey, that means I have 22 hours left of my 26th year! I'm having dinner to celebrate with friends so it's just a matter of me calling them and seeing if tomorrow is good or if the weekend is better. I suppose I should get to it. I still haven't decided what I'm going to buy in celebration of this great day in history. I want to buy a new battery for my laptop. eh, maybe something shiny will attract my eye and I'll get that. Time to enjoy the sunshine!

Apple just released the latest version of the ipod. I have a 2 year plan from compusa and my ipod still works okay, perhaps I'll wait until next spring before I graduate to trade it for the newer model. Gotta wait til all the bugs are worked out and maybe new features will pop up in the meantime. Afterall, I have a 30 GB and it's not even full yet and if I did upgrade, I want the largest capacity possible since I can store other stuff on it besides music. Ho hum...I think I'll go study for step 2 since I'm tired of watching tv and movies and I don't feel in the mood for shopping today (am I sick?).

Well, so far my book selling is going well. Someone obviously didn't read carefully as right as we were closing the deal she wanted to confirm that there was no writing in the books. Um...I said in the very first email that there was writing in all the books she wanted. I wrote "writing inside" as the last comment for all 3 books. Perhaps she was tired and having eye fatigue. Well, if she says she doesn't want them then I'll just email the guy who asked for them second and see if he still wants them. Lunch time. Tomorrow I'm hanging out with meredith so that should be fun. We're having our usual - Pho!
