the life of a torn bubble trying to stay afloat

Ho hum...radiology has been going well. I'm in a group with 2 of my friends and it's been nice laughing and talking with them. Today I came home early to a surprise...Jeff was in town relaxing after a tiring week as an intern. Hearing about that first week makes me want this year to never end just so I don't have to endure all that crap. But I suppose it will be over soon enough and then it will get a bit easier after that first intern year...or so I hope.

I've been working on a cross stitch. I haven't done that since starting medical school since I thought it would be a distraction. I, of course, found other things to distract me instead. I started thinking about making a new quilt when I was trying to decide what pattern to put in my t-shirt quilt and I saw tons of very cool patterns and then when I went to Jo-Anns to look at purple calico prints for my high school print (didn't find any I liked) I saw other very pretty prints. So now on my "when I have money" list is a sewing machine that does fancy stuff but is easy enough to use such that even I could put two bits of fabric together. That list is getting pretty long.

I've also been rereading the "Little House on the Prairie" books. They're pretty easy to read considering they were meant for little kids. Much faster to read than the lord of the rings books. Well, my pasta is finishing up - tonight is pesto night. I LOVE pesto! Last night was Stuffed Bell Peppers night. Hmmm...what to eat tomorrow. A homemaker I am not as I grow tired of making my own meals. Yep, adding to the "when I have money" list: Master Chef.
