Life at Med School
the life of a torn bubble trying to stay afloat

Today i learned something about my pelvis and childbirth. Apparently there's an old wive's tale that if you're short (that would be me) and if you have big feet (me again), then you will be less likely to be able to deliver a baby vaginally. Now, having seen multiple vaginal births with tears in the skin, part of me doesn't have an issue but cesarean sections aren't exactly a walk in the park either. Hmmmm...Dr. Dola doesn't believe it but one of the nurses apparently writes down shoe size on patient's charts. Well, I guess I'll know for sure when I have a baby...don't worry, I'm no where near ready for that.
