the life of a torn bubble trying to stay afloat

One more thing. Okay, maybe 2 more. So apparently when I write lab addendums I'm required to write an assessment and plan, even if it's just "labs within normal limits. Continue current management." I ask you, what's the point?!? I mean, I can see how pointing out the abnormals that could be important if it means altering the treatment plan but otherwise - why bother?!? Okay, I admit that my experience of surgery lab addendums has perhaps made me think that A/Ps are not necessary and just more work but if someone can point out a good reason for writing A/Ps I won't gripe any further. By the way, a bunch of T4s and T3s that I talked to thought it was retarded to write A/Ps for addendums.
And the second thing is this: I really want a digital piano but I now realize that it could be too much of a distraction and yet, I still want one. Maybe I should just buy the casio keyboard from sam's club since it comes with a bench and the Yamaha's are too expensive. I mean, I did have $500 left over from the first financial aid check...no! I need to stop this insanity! But I really want one...donations can be sent to me, just email me. We'll call it contributing to the "Save Cara from becoming a cold, unfeeling physician because she had no outlets for her frustrations" fund.

oh and someone new signed my guestbook...why haven't you?

Today we got to go home at 1 pm. Yes, that's right, 1 pm! I went to sam's club to restock on some supplies and get something to make for dinner (a sausage dish). Then I did some cleaning up. Tomorrow I have to get to school by 7 am to see a new patient. Well, not exactly new to the team but new for me since my patient that I did the H&P for admit left today. Damn I'm good! Just kidding. We really did little to her except give her the same meds she gets at home. Apparently this guy I'll be seeing tomorrow is quite a character.

We won our second game today...ok ok, so the other team had to forfeit because they didn't have enough players but we still would have won. I'm tired though since the party last night was tons of fun. We had an apple bobbing contest and the end result was that all the party guests left soaking wet. I was laughing too hard to actually bite the apple. Christina bought some big apples.
I just came home from sam's club and they have an 88 key casio keyboard for $685 (plus tax). I so want to buy it. Sure, I really don't have the money for it but I really really want a piano in my apt. And ok, I'd need to figure out where exactly to put it but I think it would fit against the wall with the 2 windows perfectly and if I buy it now, I can get a free stool to go with it. I miss my piano at home. In fact, if you're reading this mom, the piano needs to be tuned. Maybe this could be my "congrats on finishing 1/3 of 3rd year" gift to myself. Oh wait, that's what I called my haircut and the top I bought on friday...eh, I'm feeling generous. It's more practical than getting a clarinet (don't know why I'm feeling the need to expand my musical instrument collection) since I can use headphones to play the piano whenever I feel the need. If I had the money, I'd actually buy a yamaha keyboard but I don't have the money. Well, if I only eat peanut butter sandwiches from now on, who knows how much I'll save! Who wants a big tv when you can have a piano!
