I've decided that if I want a milkshake from now on, I'll make it myself. Today I got off early so I decided to swing by office depot for pens and then go to baskin robbins for a mint chocolate chip milkshake. Well, the lady who made it sucks at making milkshakes because it wasn't a nice thick respectable milkshake but more like a cup of mint chocolate chip milk. Nasty. So I went back in and asked for a redo for an actual milkshake. And the fat chick made a face at what appeared to be a newbie. The fat chick made me a new one that was mildly better but still not very thick at all. But since I needed to continue on to study, I gave up and left slightly satisfied. I've had milkshakes made there before and they were 100 times better than this time. Oh well, it's actually cheaper for me to make my own anyway...just time consuming but at least they'll be respectable. Now to study in the sunshine.

So I just downloaded my patient list for tomorrow and it's Lame! Andre and I are seeing the 9 patients on the floor and the T4 only has to see 1 patient in the unit?!? That's not right. And Andre has to see 5 of the patients. Whatever...

Ugh...Oregon lost again. What a bunch of freakin retards. Speaking of football, today is the opening game for our flag football season. Who knows how that will go considering that we haven't had a practice (kind of hard to get a time everyone can meet up) but it should be fun. I'll update this with the score later (the game is at 5).

In other news, I've decided that Surgery is basically internal medicine with the additional opportunity to cut stuff up. I kind of like that though I haven't gotten to cut any flesh yet. All I got to do was cut sutures and use the suction thing. When I scrubbed in on Dr. R's procedure with the intern I got to feel the pylorus and then hold the stomach out of the body (so it wouldn't fall back in while they stitched and cut on it). I got to do more in terms of suturing and hands on stuff during Urology. I took out staples and pulled out ureteral stents and the foley from a couple patients friday evening. Now that there's 2 interns and a T4, when Andre and I scrub in, all we do is stand around and get bored and freezing cold (Dr. J keeps the OR very cold so he doesn't sweat into the body cavity). In fact, friday we had a Bullpen to go to and I told our intern that we were going to get ready to leave at 10:40 and she said to wait til 9:45 because it won't take 20 minutes to get to the Bullpen room so we stood there for 5 minutes and couldn't see anything and were as nonproductive as usual then left. What is the freaking difference if we stood around there for 5 minutes or left earlier?!? Lame! Oh and I guess we shouldn't have eaten without the team but one of the interns also ate earlier without the attending and others that were in the OR. Time to get to work.
