It appears that Oregon has new football uniforms. And they went from being ugly to being really ugly. At least the away uniforms are yellow and green and not white and green like they used to be. I guess that's why they changed them...or maybe Nike made some super dooper new uniforms and Oregon decided to accept them and perhaps the alumni voiced their discontent with white and green away uniforms. I hope the home game uniforms are nicer. At any rate, they're winning 28-0 and the 2nd quarter is about the start. This is great but it's not a pac-10 game. People are already leaving the game though. That's sad.

So I think I made a mistake buying the gallon jar of jalapeƱos at Sam's club on sunday. I like them but I think they're doing a number on my GI tract. I ate some for lunch and I'm getting that aftertaste at the back of my throat almost like fumes from them being digested are working their way up my esophagus and settling at the back of my throat. Yuck. Why did I buy it? Well, because the cost was amazing! Only $5 for a gallon!

Today was my last day at Dr. Sayes' office. I'm going to miss the people I worked with these past 2 months. Everyone was so nice and helpful and made me feel right at home. And they took me out to lunch one last time. They also surprised me with an ice cream cake that said "Good Luck Dr. Cara" I must say it seems odd seeing that written out. The cake was soooo good. So in the end, I gained almost 7 pounds since starting family medicine. Hopefully I'll lose it all during surgery - they won't be taking me to lunch. I finished up my assembling my project then got good bye hugs from everyone then drove home one last time. I'll have to go down and visit though. I want to check out mardi gras down there and Louis said he'd be interested in checking out small town mardi gras with me. It was such a good experience down there it sort of sucks to have to be in New Orleans for the next 9 and a half months for the remaining year. Though I don't want to go to Pineville for OB/GYN. So if mom and dad come for a visit, we may have to take a trip down to Thibodaux - they have swamp there we can explore since the town itself is one street...okay, 2 major streets and a bunch of tiny ones around the major ones. Oh and today Dr. Sayes made his pork rinds...you know how there's microwave popcorn? Well, apparently there's also microwave pork rinds. It smelled kind of bad but I tried one anyway...it was alright but I wasn't going to eat any more of that stuff. I'm going to miss family medicine!
I put together my presentation. I need to run through it to make sure it's 10 minutes long but it should be okay.

Today I got my EKG done at my clinic site. I was a bit excited about getting it done so my heart rate is fast (100 bpm) but the other weirdness is a wide P wave but it was like that when I had my EKG done 2 years ago. In other words, nothing wrong with my heart.
