the life of a torn bubble trying to stay afloat

Well, I had my eye exam today. My vision hasn't changed drastically and I don't have glaucoma (it's a free screen that involved a puff of air and not the nasty tonometer and anesthetic drops that Dr. Chung used on me the last time I had the test). Anyway, the reason why there was the distortion was because the contact Rx for the left eye was too strong so I only needed to order contacts for my left eye. The overall price for this adventure? $199.15 Thanks to Blue Cross Blue Shield and the affordable Vision Plaza prices, the exam and contact fitting was $70 - total. And the contacts were $25/box but like I said, the 30% discount really helps. Granted there's still the 8.5% tax that cut into the discount but that's better than nothing! And the guy who rang me up took off another few bucks off the total.
Yesterday, Jess, Christina, and I went to the Olive Garden for lunch. It was so good to have the zuppa toscana. I Love that soup! And the guy who was a host (but not our waiter) gave us a free dessert to share when he found out that we had taken the exam on monday. So we had a chocolate fudge cheesecake and it was soooo good! As Jess says, it really pays to be young, female, and attractive since if a group of guys came in also celebrating the exam, we doubt they would have gotten the free dessert. Oh and I found $5 on monday. Signal for my luck in vegas? maybe...

Well, last night was fun. We ended up hanging out and drinking at Nida and Rahul's place and making fun of the retards on Elimidate. They find the people with the lowest morals and put them all together. But we had fun talking and laughing and drinking. Tina is going to Hawaii to surf with her high school friends. A few are going to Puerto Rico, Jacqui is going to Panama. Oh and I had to run into school this morning to check my mailbox. I high passed pharmacology and pathology. That was a nice treat post boards. And I got the $10,000 free money again (I know dad's smiling). Well, I slept over at Jess and Christina's last night so I need to shower and then I'm meeting them for lunch at Olive Garden. I can taste the soup right now....yummmmm!

My lower back hurts, my brain hurts, and that test sucked. And that's the official post test press release. On the plus side, I know I got at least 2 right...I got 2 questions on the exact same disease on the exact same genetic principle. Well, I need to rest up for tonight. We're not sure what we want to do but it involves alcohol.
