Life at Med School
the life of a torn bubble trying to stay afloat

Today I watched this show about unique child birth situations. In one, this woman wanted so desperately to deliver at a special child birth center (aka not a hospital) but the labor was progressing quickly and the woman was getting close to delivering. So instead of going to the hospital that they passed on the way to the child birth center, she ended up delivering in her car. Nasty - I would not want child birth goop in my car! But they were lucky the kid was fine. In another story, a lady decided to deliver in the ocean. I understand her being naked but why on earth did the husband need to be naked?!? At first she was talking about the doctor comforting her and I wondered if it was the doctor that was there naked but then they showed pictures of the hubby and it was clear that it was not the doctor. I would never want to deliver in the ocean. It's salty and things tear down there and the thought of salt water on those wounds makes me shiver. Well, time for bed! I get to see Payton in a few days!
